Unsplash provides royalty free images, illustrations and more. This can be great if you’re looking for a general source of images. Also there are many historical images from the Library of Congress, etc. Unsplash+ offers an ad-free experience and other perks for a fee.

Free Bible Images provides a variety of Bible related images that can help with your next project. Check each image for specific licensing restrictions.
Undraw.co
Undraw provides editable minimalistic graphics that have a simple look and feel, but can be useful for a clean look. You can adjust colors on the fly and export as SVG or PNG files. Undraw Cards also provides a social media card making utility that is simple and quick to place text over images. A plethora of hand drawn illustrations are also available in Handicraft.
UnDraw’s open license allows use of illustrations in any project whether commercial or personal without attribution or any costs. Check out their license for details.
