In May, Michael travelled to Mexico where he taught workshops at an ASELSI mini conference and helped with a graduation of 10 students who completed a two-year high school level of Bible training. It is exciting to see how these students are excited about sharing Christ with others. Click the image above to view the video.
Drinking, Drugs, and Demonic Oppression
We often see the devastating impact of alcohol in the families around us. It is common to see intoxicated men and even some women passed out on the roadsides and sidewalks. We have mourned with the family of a young man who died from alcohol-related health problems, stood in the place of a father who …
Juana, A Faithful Mommy
Juana is “pilas” as they would say in Guatemala. She’s a smart go-getter and she has to be. Sixteen years ago this mother of 6 gave birth to a new set of twin girls, and the time for excitement over the twins turned to confusion. Just 16 days after their birth, her husband said …
Our House is on FIRE!
Smelling smoke in our neighborhood isn’t that unusual. Seeing the side of our rented house sparking and flaming, thankfully, is NOT normal. Recently on a Sunday morning some of the electrical lines on the side of our house shorted and caused a small fire. The firefighters came and put out the fire and cut the …

And serve she has! In …

A life lost, A new life found
Yesterday was a day of contrasts. I left home at 4:30 a.m. to get to the Guatemalan capital in time to pickup up supplies, run errands, get a new pair of much needed tires and still make it back to Chichicastenango at a decent hour. With all the vehicles on the road these days, the …
