Who We Are
Michael was from Kansas. Chrisi was from Michigan.
He served in church ministry. She cared for the sick as a nurse.
God brought us together and guided us to Guatemala.
Now we’re a family of eight
reaching out with the hope of Jesus Christ
in Guatemala and beyond.

Our Story…
Our journey as missionaries began as children when we heard stories, read missionary biographies, and saw the examples of others serving in missions. As the Word of God became real in our own lives, we began sharing Christ with those around us and sensing that God has a call on our lives also. That call began with serving and sharing Christ with others where we were and following God’s lead in reaching out within our communities and on short-term missions trips across the globe. Michael studied Communications and Community Development and worked with ministries in the U.S. and abroad. Chrisi studied nursing and cared for patients in hospital while reaching out on short term mission trips.. Since 2011, we have been using what we learned in the past along with new wisdom we’re gaining to reaching out with Christ in the mountains of Guatemala where we live full-time with our family that has grown to include our six children and many neighborhood kids who spend their time with us.
We serve in our local community and alongside Guatemalan leaders to disciple a new generation of leaders to reach Guatemala and beyond with the life-changing Gospel.

The Mission

Our Guatemalan mission is to serve alongside an established ministry to:
- Make disciples and following Jesus Christ with our whole hearts and lives
- Communicate what God is doing in Guatemala,
- Develop and train local church leadership,
- Help provide medical care and training, and
- Connect outreach teams with local church or community needs.
These goals will be accomplished with the ever present goal of reaching more people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and salvation through Him.
